Easy Way to Make English Conversation Sentences with Simple Past Tense
The Simple Past Tense is used to talk about actions or events that happened in the past.
It shows that something started and finished before now.
📘 Form / Structure
- For Regular Verbs
👉 Subject + Verb (past form) + Object
Example:
- I visited my grandmother yesterday.
- They played football last Sunday.
Regular verbs usually end in -ed in the past tense.
(e.g., play → played, visit → visited, watch → watched)
- For Irregular Verbs
👉 Subject + Irregular Verb (past form) + Object
Example:
- She went to school by bus.
