An adverb which tell us how an action is done.

Example :
Fleck made the sandcastle slowly and carefully
The question is : How did Fleck make the sandcastle?

Forming Adverbs of Manner

1. Most Adverbs of Manner are formed by adding -ly to adjectives
   Examples :
   slowly, loudly, quickly
2. When an adjective ends with -l we add -ly
   Examples :
   careful – carefully
   beautiful – beautiful
3. When an adjective ends with -y we remove -y and add -ily
   Examples :
   happy — happily
   naughty – naughtily
4. When an adjective ends with -ll we only add -y
   Examples :
   full –fully
5. Sometime adverbs are formed without making any changes in the adjectives
   Example:
   Fast, hard
